Wait, it's green?

I have taken on a new excursion. Cooking. It can be fun - when it turns out right. Nana is an excellent chef. Her path is already cleared and paved while I'm just starting to hack my way through the undeveloped territory. If only my husband would eat a bit more of a variety.

His path stops at anything red or green. You would think growing up on a farm in Southern Illinois he would eat anything, but that is so not the case. He won't even eat potatoes! So Ill can't even raise a farmer with a non discriminating palette.

Anyway, this concoction I made a while back consisted of garlic butter noodles, Cajun blacked chicken and delicious garlic roasted asparagus. It has become a favorite of our Illinoisan house hold. And he will at least eat rice. Such a southerner at heart, even if he thinks there's a beach here too.
