Happy 4th!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! Tonight, Nana, Patrick and I ventured to the local airport to watch the firework show. A half an hour of sitting on the road we finally got parked. Then I stood in line for another half an hour to get some orange shake ups that were too sweet to drink. I stopped drinking the lemon shake ups because no one knows how to make them sweet enough. Last night, I'm certain the lemon would have been sweet enough. The fireworks made up for the crappy drinks though. They were very bright and quite loud. I have always loved fireworks. Florida were a million times better, of course. But the city has a lot more money to spend on fireworks than a small town does.

During the middle of the show, a helicopter decided to land at the Lifeteam center. That was some added unexpected entertainment. Many people wern't too happy about that. At least, not the ones sitting near the heli pad. Amusement for those of us on the other side of the lake!

After the show we managed to find our car in the maze of excited and impatient people lined up to leave. We just sat in the air conditioned vehicle and waited till it was clear to go. An hour later, we made it home. I'm glad I'm a patient person! Maybe I'm just used to the crowds of the much busier corners of the world.

Until next time...The Magniloquent Mary
