On to the continuation of the Maryland excursion.
Most days we had no plans. We just set out and hoped the road led us to somewhere we wanted to be. While traveling near downtown Baltimore the road did not lead to somewhere we wanted to be. A lady (and I use that term loosely) was standing in the median pulling the neck of her shirt down to expose herself. What a hooker. I have to admit, it lead to some great laughs.
But, we usually found ourselves in decent neighborhoods. Husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner at the Cheesecake Factory at the Inner harbor in Baltimore. That was a taste bud journey! The food was very unique there. I didn't care for my lemon chicken all that much; however, the caramel cheesecake we devoured was fantastic. All in all the Baltimore trip was a win!
The entire entourage often came together for a jaunt. One day we found ourselves in Ocean City. It was so cold that day! G was unhappy because the big scary mouse ride was closed (off season) but we did eat some of the best cheese fries known to man.
After Ocean City we headed a little south to Assateague Island, home of the Wild Horses. So wild in fact they come running to the crinkling sound of a bag of chips! Not only do the run but they try to get in the car with us. Oh, and they stunk. Like really stunk. But, it was fun.
Husband and I also ended up in DC one day. Our trip there involved a lot of walking and looking. We saw dinosaurs, diamonds, and lots of police. There was a benefit going on at a hotel and the roads were blocked and people were everywhere! It was crazy to say the least. We found a pizza place called "Jumbo Slice" that we had seen on the Travel Channel. The best New York style pizza I have ever had - and might I add I am a connoisseur of pizza. This scrumptious pizza was as long as my arm. I am not lying. And it was amazing.
Until next time...The Magniloquent Mary
